Grace to Trust Him more

I've been trying to trust God more and surrender everything to Him, but have struggled with that a lot lately. And I couldn't understand why I was having so much trouble surrendering to Him. Then in chapel today we sang "'Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus" and it struck me. One line says, "oh, for grace to trust Him more". And it was at that moment that I realized He has to give me the grace to do whatever it is I struggle with. Whether it be grace to surrender to Him or grace to delight in Him. Every thing comes from Him, He is the giver and if I am missing somthing, I need Him. Nothing is outside of Him ultimately.

The message in chapel was just as good. MacArthur and Prof Wong gave the message today and it was about the need for our faith to be tested; something that is missing in America today. In China, Prof Wong's brother was killed because of his faith and many other people were also persecuted for their faith. Yet, the church in China is very strong. So it would seem that through the testing of faith, our faith becomes stronger. The thought of persecution seems very unappealing, yet it appears that's what we need. For that reason, I am willing to be tested, so that my faith can grow, needs to be the new mentality.
