The human being is a complex creature created by the Creator who is so much more complex. It is impossible for a mere human to understand the ways of God, though we try often. We try to write stories, feeling that we can somehow control life. But we have no true answers because if God was that simple and His plans that easy to understand, we would end up bored and depressed. I whole heartedly believe we are to know God as deeply as His grace allows us. But to think that one day we will be able to answer the questions of life and be able to solve every problem we encounter is foolish.
Just think back to Job. God allowed Satan to get to Job and Job’s friends tried to explain away why such things would happen to him. He must have sinned. But the truth was, God had a far greater plan which at the time, no one could explain or understand. Through the trials Job encountered, God showed Job His greatness. Just look at Job 38-40. Who are you to think you know what God is doing? But at the end of Job, God blessed Job far beyond just returning what he had lost. As I am learning, I encourage you to trust the plans of the Father. When things seem to fall apart, trust the One who holds the world and is faithful to care for His children.
“Now unto him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. Unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” – Eph. 3:20
