Looking back over the past month, I can't help smiling. It has been a great month! I turned 21 and it was probably the simplest birthday I have ever had. The people I was with didn't find out until midnight, that it was my birthday. And to be honest, it was a really good birthday. No special gifts or parties, just hanging with a fabulous group of friends and making great memories. I left knowing I was exactly where God wanted me to spend OW.
The next weekend I spent in The Happiest Place On Earth (the Disney version). It was cool and I was glad I went, I guess. But it wasn't as fun as it could've been, because I was absolutely exhausted. Still, there is the benefit of being able to say I went, now. And there were some good times. Not to mention driving the CA freeways for the first time and taking advantage of no curfew :)
As for this past weekend, it was the epitome of randomness. Friday night was Mustang Madness, which was fun, of course. The next morning I woke up early to Make A Difference in Santa Clarita, with a few other students and some people from the community. We worked at the Gibbons center (they have special monkeys). We cleared a lot of brush away, so there would be less fire hazards. It wasn't the easiest job ever, but the company was pleasant (the people, I mean). I've been blessed to have such a good time serving!
There are so many good stories I would like to share, about how God has shown Himself to me. But at the moment I don't have the time. Hopefully I can soon! Peace.
